Women's Bowling Finishes Second at Boulevard Bowl Collegiate Classic

SCHENECTADY, NY – The SUNYIT women's bowling team had a final score of 6875 and finished in second place out of six teams at the Boulevard Bowl Collegiate Classic, which was sponsored by Schenectady County Community College Saturday. 

Junior Amanda Pratt (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) came in third place overall with a six-game score of 1257 and teamed with her sister Kourtni Pratt (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) to finish in seventh place in doubles competition with a final score of 1152.  Senior Katie Freisatz (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) finished in fifth place overall with a six-game series of 1237, while her and fellow classmate Meghan McGurn (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem) finished in eighth place in doubles competition with a score of 1142. 

Mohawk Valley Community College had the top two overall finishers and won the event with a final score of 7189.  Coming in third was Hudson Valley Community College with a score of 6663, followed by Penn State (5945), Cayuga (2309) and host Schenectady (2121).

The Lady Wildcats will be back in action tomorrow when they compete in the 17th annual SCCC Invitational.  The event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am.
