Utica, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's cross country team finished fifth at the newly renamed Bill Tylutki Wildcat Invitational on Saturday, recording 115 points as the Wildcats hosted the annual meet. The event was renamed in honor of legendary SUNY Poly cross country coach Bill Tylutki, who dedicated more than 20 years to building and leading a premier cross country program at the institution. During his tenure, Tylutki coached six men's championship teams and one women's championship team, produced 53 All-Conference student-athletes and earned Coach of the Year honors six times.

William Smith won the team competition with 18 points, followed by Hartwick with 55 points and Hudson Valley Community College with 73 points. Keuka finished fourth with 105 points, while SUNY Poly rounded out the team standings in fifth place with 115 points.

Freshman Emma Demarzio led the Wildcats, finishing 13th overall with a time of 29:00.1. Brinley Ronan followed in 22nd place with a time of 31:56.9, while sophomore Ava Stoby finished 23rd overall with a time of 32:40.4. Alexia Ulanday placed 28th with a time of 37:16.7, while junior** Paulina Ashwell rounded out the Wildcats' scoring runners in 29th place with a time of 47:16.8.**

SUNY Poly freshman Lilly Hargarther also competed for the Wildcats before recording a DNF.
