CANTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team was beaten 74-48 by St. Lawrence on Saturday in the Wildcats season opener. The Wildcats went down by 15 in the first quarter and were not able to fight their way back into the game. The Wildcats are now 0-1 this season. 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

• Molly Burdick had a team-high 15 points for the Wildcats. She was two rebounds away from a double-double and had a pair of steals. 

• Kierra Connor had seven points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats. 

• Sophie Wittenbeck scored 10 for SUNY Poly. She also had a steal and three rebounds. 

• Lauren Denny and Alexandra DeBeatham each had seven points for the Wildcats. 

• Ava McCann had a game-high 25 points for the Saints. 

• Katie Fredrick had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds for St. Lawrence.

The Wildcats will head to Morrisville State on Friday, November 19th to take part in the Morrisville Mustang's Tip-off Tournament. The 'Cats will take on Oswego State on Friday at 5:00 PM.
