Box Score COBLESKILL, NY – Three Lady Wildcats scored in double figures as the women's basketball team rolled to a 55-47 win over the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers Wednesday night. The Wildcats improved to 9-5 in the NEAC and 10-6 overall with the victory, while Cobleskill fell to 7-5 in conference play and 8-8 overall.
Senior Taylor Topping (Bronx, NY/Preston) and sophomore Lyndsey Brognano (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) each scored 12 points and senior Tamara Williams (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) registered her fifth double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds to help the Wildcats snap their three-game losing streak. SUNYIT held the Tigers to 30 percent shooting from the field, including 0-for-17 from the 3-point line, and held the lead for all but four minutes of the contest en route to the victory.
Katora Brown and Kaitlin Myers each scored 12 points for Cobleskill, while Chelcy Moore chipped in 10 points.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Saturday when they host conference rival Penn State Abington at the Campus Center Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
