UTICA, N.Y. — The 2025-26 Academic All-District Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
The SUNY Poly Wildcat softball team had five student-athletes selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team:
Katelyn Adams
Ava Faragon
Kelly Powell
Alivia Turk
Joely Welpe
Adams, who maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, appeared in 31 games for the Wildcats during the 2025-26 campaign while making 30 starts. She finished the season with a .247 batting average, collecting 18 hits, 14 runs scored, and 11 RBI. Adams also added seven walks and showcased consistency defensively throughout the season.
Faragon earned Academic All-District® honors with a 3.7 GPA after appearing in 27 games for SUNY Poly this season. The sophomore posted a .253 batting average with 20 hits, including five doubles and a triple, while driving in 13 runs and scoring 13 times. Faragon also recorded a .366 on-base percentage during the year.
Powell, who carried a 3.52 GPA, turned in one of the Wildcats' top offensive performances during the 2025-26 season. The junior hit .341 with a .560 slugging percentage across 31 games, totaling 31 hits, 20 runs scored, 18 RBI, five doubles, and three triples. Powell also recorded 10 walks and finished the season with 51 total bases.
Turk earned CSC Academic All-District® recognition with a 3.83 GPA while starting all 31 games for the Wildcats. She finished the season batting .263 with 26 hits, 18 runs scored, and 12 RBI. Turk added two triples and posted a .333 on-base percentage during the campaign.
Welpe, who maintained a 3.56 GPA, appeared in 31 games and produced a strong offensive season for SUNY Poly. She batted .319 with a .413 on-base percentage and .462 slugging percentage, tallying 29 hits, 22 runs scored, 15 RBI, seven doubles, and three triples. Welpe also drew 11 walks and finished with 42 total bases.
