[Utica, N.Y.] – SUNY Polytechnic Institute proudly announces the induction of six outstanding individuals into the 2025 class of its Athletics Hall of Fame. The ceremony, which will take place on September 19, 2025, at Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro, will honor these exceptional athletes for their lasting impact on SUNY Poly's athletic legacy.
"We are incredibly proud to reestablish the SUNY Poly Athletics Hall of Fame and honor the outstanding individuals who have shaped the legacy of Wildcat athletics," said SUNY Poly Athletic Director John Czarnecki. "This year's inductees represent not only excellence in competition, but also leadership, resilience, and the spirit of our campus community. It's especially meaningful to resume this tradition by recognizing those whose lasting impact continues to inspire current and future generations of SUNY Poly student-athletes."
2025 Hall of Fame Inductees:
David Golembiowski (2007–2011) – Basketball & Baseball
A two-sport athlete, David Golembiowski competed for the SUNY Poly baseball and basketball teams from 2007–2010. As a basketball player, David broke multiple program records, including becoming the all-time leader in points (2,163), rebounds (998), blocks (250), and three-pointers (278). His exceptional performance earned him NEAC Conference Player of the Year honors three times and helped lead the basketball team to two conference championships, two NCAA tournament appearances, and one NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.
On the baseball field, David excelled on the mound, finishing his career with a 6–2 record and 74 strikeouts over 76 innings pitched. His 3.17 ERA ranks third all-time in program history, and his six saves place him first. He was also named to the NEAC All-Conference Third Team twice.
"Being inducted into the SUNY Poly Wildcat Hall of Fame is an incredible and humbling honor," said David. "This recognition reflects the support of every coach, teammate, family member, and mentor who stood by me throughout the journey. I am deeply grateful and proud to share this moment with all of them."
Juleah (Vedder) Wanner (2009–2013) – Volleyball & Softball
From 2009–2012, Juleah was a standout two-sport athlete for the Wildcats, excelling in both softball and volleyball. Her name appears at or near the top of nearly every statistical category in both sports. In softball, she was a dominant two-way player and currently ranks first all-time in RBIs (165), home runs (21), pitching wins (37), and innings pitched (420.0). A three-time All-Conference player, she also ranks second in doubles (38), second in hits (180), third in slugging percentage (.696), and third in strikeouts (282).
In volleyball, Juleah is widely considered one of the best players in school history. She ranks first all-time in points (2,436.5), kills (2,076), digs (1,587), aces (272), and sets played (459). She earned four First Team All-Conference selections and was named NEAC Volleyball Player of the Year twice.
"I am extremely grateful to be inducted into the Wildcat Hall of Fame," said Juleah. "I would like to thank the committee and athletic administration for bringing the Hall of Fame back and for this incredible honor. Those years of competition were truly special, and it's an honor to relive some of those memories and be recognized as a Hall of Fame member."
Lyndsey Brognano (2009–2013) – Basketball & Softball
Another stellar two-sport athlete, Lyndsey Brognano was a key contributor to both the basketball and softball programs from 2009–2012. A two-time NEAC Women's Basketball First Team All-Conference selection, she ended her career with 1,731 points—ranking first all-time in program history. The 2012 NEAC Player of the Year also ranks second all-time in assists with 322.
On the softball field, Lyndsey sits at the top of the program record book in hits (209), doubles (71), total bases (349), runs scored (184), and at-bats (499). She also ranks second all-time in slugging percentage (.773) and fifth in batting average (.419). Her stellar play earned her three consecutive First Team All-Conference selections.
"Being inducted into the SUNY Poly Sports Hall of Fame is one of the greatest honors of my life," said Lyndsey. "I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. I wouldn't be here without the love, strength, and support of my teammates, coaches, family, and friends who believed in me and lifted me up throughout this incredible journey. To be recognized among so many legends of this program is truly meaningful."
Malick Faye (2009–2013) – Soccer
From 2009–2013, Malick Faye was a cornerstone of the men's soccer program. The 2013 First Team All-American was a dominant presence in net, helping the Wildcats win 39 games—32 of which were shutouts, both school records. The 2011 NEAC Player of the Year and three-time NEAC Goalie of the Year, Malick concluded his career with an astounding 0.78 goals-against average, the best in program history.
"I'm honored to be inducted into SUNY Poly's Hall of Fame," said Malick. "I'm deeply grateful for the teammates, coaches, and the entire athletic community who made my time with the soccer program so impactful. Representing the university was a privilege, and I will always look back on those years with pride."
Krysta Beha (2014–2017) – Women's Lacrosse
Krysta Beha was an essential member of the Wildcat women's lacrosse team from 2014–2017. Named to four consecutive All-Conference teams, Krysta played in 48 games and broke multiple records, becoming the all-time leader in points (264), goals (187), ground balls (207), caused turnovers (147), and draw controls (296). In her final season, she earned 2017 NEAC Offensive Player of the Year honors after scoring 58 goals and recording 24 assists.
"I am thrilled and honored to be inducted into the SUNY Poly Wildcat Athletics Hall of Fame," said Krysta. "This recognition means the world to me—not just as acknowledgment of past achievements, but as a celebration of my parents, teammates, coaches, mentors, and supporters who were part of my journey. Athletics gave me lifelong memories and invaluable lessons. Thank you to the selection committee for this incredible honor. I'm proud to be part of such an inspiring legacy."
Kevin Edick (1993–2017) – Baseball (Coach)
Coach Kevin Edick was instrumental in building SUNY Poly's baseball program from the ground up. Beginning in 1993, he led the team for 25 years, recording 304 wins—the most in program history. Coach Edick also played a vital role in the development and expansion of the entire Wildcat athletic department, serving as an assistant/associate athletic director during his years with SUNY Poly. One of SUNY Poly's all-time winningest coaches, Edick retired in 2017 but left a legacy as a two-time SUNYAC Coach of the Year and three-time NEAC Coach of the Year. His contributions have had a lasting impact on SUNY Poly baseball and the campus community.
"It is truly an honor and I am humbled to be selected into this year's Wildcat Hall of Fame," said Kevin. "After inducting my great friend and Boss Kevin Grimmer last year I am excited to follow in his footsteps! We had a long run working together for over 30 years and watched the college and Athletics grow right in front of our eyes!"

The induction ceremony will be held on September 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Harts Hill Inn in Whitesboro, N.Y. The event will be invite-only.
