Utica, N.Y. — Senior forward Anthony Rose has been named the Empire 8 Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season following a dominant three-game stretch in which he averaged 22.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while leading the Wildcats to three straight wins.
Rose opened the week with a 20-point, seven-rebound performance in a 64–51 home victory over St. Lawrence on December 2. He then delivered a standout outing against Hamilton College, pouring in 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting — including a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond the arc — while adding five rebounds and three assists in a 78–72 win. Rose capped the week with 21 points and four assists in SUNY Poly's 78–59 triumph over Worcester State.
The Wildcats return to action on December 13 when they travel to take on the SUNY Delhi Broncos at 1:00 p.m.
