In 2024-25, with a renovation of the Kevin Grimmer Court at the Campus Center Gymnasium ongoing, Golembiowski coordinated the use of a temporary basketball court that was used in the Wildcat Fieldhouse. This allowed the Wildcat Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams to continue to compete on campus for the duration of the renovation.

In 2023, Golembiowski played an instrumental role in a fundraising campaign which resulted in the naming of the Campus Center basketball court after long-time Athletic Director and Basketball Coach, Kevin Grimmer. The facility will bear the name “Kevin Grimmer Court at the Campus Center Gymnasium.” The campaign raised funding to benefit and enhance the experience for student-athletes at SUNY Poly for years to come.

In 2021-22, Golembiowski served as Game Management and Game Day Operations point person. This included staffing and supervision of student workers, set-up and breakdown of athletic events, and serving as the primary game manager. Golembiowski also served in his second season as Pitching Coach of the Wildcat baseball team. Golembiowski helped to develop NAC West Team All-Conference Starting Pitcher Paul Morgan, who finished the season with a conference-best 2.64 ERA.

In the Spring of 2021, Golembiowski served his first season as Pitching Coach at SUNY Poly. The year, shortened due to the Covid-19 pandemic, concluded with a loss in the NAC West Division Finals to rival SUNY Cobleskill.

Golembiowski took on the role of lead Assistant Coach for the Men’s Basketball team in the 2019-20 campaign. His duties included assisting with practice planning, player development, scouting, recruiting, and offensive play calling. The Wildcats had an outstanding season, winning the NEAC North Division Regular Season Championship. The Wildcat's season ended with a loss in the NEAC Semi-finals to Lancaster Bible.

David Golembiowski served in his first season as Assistant Baseball Coach in 2019. The Wildcats finished the season with a record of 10-26 and fell just short of a spot in the NEAC Playoffs.

In the Fall of 2018, Golembiowski began his first season as Assistant Coach of the Men’s Basketball team at SUNY Poly. The team finished with an overall record of 15-13 and lost in the NEAC Championship game to rival Morrisville State.

In August of 2018, Golembiowski, a 2011 graduate, returned to SUNY Poly after a seven-year professional basketball career. As a professional basketball player in Germany, Golembiowski was twice awarded First Team All-League honors, as well as an Honorable Mention selection. Golembiowski also served as a youth coach in Germany.

As a student, Golembiowski majored in Finance and was a four-year member of the men's basketball and baseball teams. Upon graduation, Golembiowski held men's basketball program records in career points, rebounds, blocked shots, and three-pointers made. A three-time NEAC player of the year, Golembiowski was also awarded 2nd Team All-American by D3hoops.com as a senior.

As a pitcher, Golembiowski earned two 3rd Team All-Conference selections and graduated with the program record in career saves.

In his spare time, Golembiowski has served as Head Coach of the Herkimer Originals team in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) since 2024.

A graduate of Holland Patent High School in 2007, Golembiowski currently resides in Barneveld, NY.
