Rochester, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team dropped their second game in as many nights, falling to the Nazareth Golden Flyers by a score of 90-38. Eight different players scored for the Wildcats, with Alysa Jackson leading the way. The Wildcats are now 1-10 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Nazareth came out strong, quickly establishing an early lead with key contributions from Madalyn Kelly and Sarina McDowell. The Golden Flyers' defense was aggressive, forcing several turnovers and steals, which hindered SUNY Poly's ability to find consistent scoring. Alysa Jackson and Hannah Shipley provided some bright moments for the Wildcats, but Nazareth's fast-break points and strong defense made it difficult for SUNY Poly to stay competitive. By halftime, the Wildcats were trailing 52-19.
In the second half, Nazareth extended their lead as several players stepped up, capitalizing on fast-break opportunities and turnovers from the Wildcats. SUNY Poly struggled to regain control, and the Golden Flyers cruised to a 90-38 victory.
