Rochester, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats fell to the St. John Fisher Cardinals by a score of 81-37. Sidney Tomasso led the way for the Cardinals with 24 points, while Alysa Jackson topped the scoring column for the Wildcats with 11. The Wildcats are now 1-9 on the season.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:
St. John Fisher took a lead early, behind key plays from Katie Moravec and Sidney Tomasso. For SUNY Poly, Alysa Jackson was active on offense, scoring multiple buckets for the Wildcats. Despite their efforts, SUNY Poly struggled with shooting accuracy and turnovers, leading to a 24-12 deficit at the end of the quarter.Â
Alivia Turk brought the Wildcats within 9 points early in the second quarter, However, St. John Fisher quickly responded, with Sidney Tomasso and Emily McLaughlin leading the charge. SUNY Poly continued to struggle with turnovers and missed shots, allowing St. John Fisher to capitalize and enter halftime with a 48-19 lead.
In the second half, despite a few chances to chip away at the deficit, the Wildcats could not break through. St. John Fisher continued to excel both offensively and defensively, capitalizing on turnovers and securing rebounds. The Cardinals' strong performance in the second half led them to a 81-37 victory.
