Utica, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's cross country team hosted the 2024 Wildcat Classic Invitational. The Wildcats finished in fifth place. 

Sophomore Bennett Melita took home the top prize for Utica University with a time of 27:35.7. Overall, Utica University finished in first place, compiling 20 points. Hobart, Onondaga Community College, Potsdam, SUNY Poly, Herkimer Community College, Hartwick and Mohawk Valley Community College rounded out the standings. 

Jack McCarthy took finished with the best time of any SUNY Poly runner (31:38.4)
