Brooklyn, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's basketball team dropped their sixth game of the season, falling to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs 68-28. The Wildcats struggled offensively, shooting just 15 percent from the field, and were unable to gain any momentum, never holding a lead throughout the contest. Despite the tough outing, Sanaa Lee put forth a strong individual effort, finishing with six points and 11 rebounds, just shy of a double-double. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-6 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Brooklyn College, led by standout performances from Anna Kitch and Alina Estrella, surged ahead early and never relinquished the lead. The Bulldogs built a commanding 23-point advantage in the first half, with stifling defense forcing the Wildcats into difficult shots. SUNY Poly managed just 13 points before the break, trailing 36-13 at halftime.
The second half saw little improvement for the Wildcats, who were only able to add 15 more points to their total. Brooklyn College continued to dominate, extending their lead and cruising to a 68-28 victory.
