Utica, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's basketball team was defeated by the Hamilton College Continentals, 74-42, in a non-conference matchup. Taylor Lambo led the Continentals with 16 points, while Alysa Jackson was the top scorer for the Wildcats, contributing 10 points. The loss drops the Wildcats to a 1-4 record on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Wildcats stayed within striking distance in the first quarter, trailing by just four points at the end of the period. However, a strong offensive surge from Kendall Harris and Tessa Cole in the second quarter allowed the Continentals to extend their lead to 19 by halftime.
Despite an improved effort in the second half, SUNY Poly struggled to mount a scoring run, as Hamilton's offense continued to click. The Continentals scored 42 points after the break to seal a 74-42 victory over the Wildcats.
