MSOC: Wildcats Dominate on the Road, Secure Home Field Advantage for First Round of E8 Playoffs

Alfred, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's soccer team delivered an impressive performance in their final match of the season, defeating the Alfred Saxons 5-0 on the road. Johnny Theze led the Wildcats with two goals, while goalkeeper Ryan Primus notched another clean sheet, ensuring a home game in the first round of the Empire 8 Playoffs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Wildcats took control early, with Jhonny Theze scoring his ninth goal of the season in the 19th minute. Despite registering eight more shots in the first half, SUNY Poly went into halftime with only a 1-0 lead, thanks to several key saves from Alfred's goalkeeper.

The second half saw the Wildcats break the game wide open. Theze netted his second goal just three minutes after the restart. Less than ten minutes later, Abus Mohamed Ali extended the lead to 3-0. Freshman Yannick Diaby and Ramiro Zambrano also made their mark, scoring their first career goals to seal the 5-0 victory and secure home field advantage for the upcoming Empire 8 playoffs.
