Albany, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's soccer team lost to the Russell Sage Gators, 3-0. The Gators controlled the match, outshooting the Wildcats 32-5 and earning eight corner kicks compared to SUNY Poly's zero. The Wildcats now hold a record of 5-7-1 this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
After nearly 40 minutes of scoreless play, the Gators took the lead with a goal from Amelia Geesler in the 39th minute. Despite five shot attempts in the first half, the Wildcats were unable to score, heading into halftime down 1-0.
The second half saw the Wildcats struggle offensively, failing to register a single shot. The Gators extended their lead with goals in the 56th and 80th minutes, finalizing the match at 3-0.
