Utica, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's soccer team faced off against the Russell Sage Gators in a hard-fought match that ended in a 0-0 draw. The Wildcats outshot the Gators threefold, but Russell Sage goalkeeper Maximilian Bertman made six big saves. Wildcat goalie Ryan Primus recorded one save, while Jhonny Theze led the offense with five shots. The Wildcats now hold a record of 7-3-3 for the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Wildcats dominated the first half, taking eight shots while limiting the Gators to just two. Bertman's strong performance in net kept the score level at halftime.
In the second half, the Wildcats continued to apply pressure, registering 10 shots. Seven different players contributed to the offense, with Jhonny Theze again leading with five attempts. Despite the Wildcats' efforts, neither team found the back of the net, resulting in a scoreless tie.
