MLAX: Wildcats Extend Win Streak to Six With 11-6 Win Over Hilbert.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse team earned their sixth consecutive win on Wednesday 11-6 over the Hilbert College Hawks. The win puts their season record at 6-4 while the Hawks fall to 3-5. SUNY Poly used a big third quarter to take a commanding six-goal lead and cruised to the finish line in the fourth. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Andrew Maycock had a big game for the Wildcats. The junior scored four goals and had an assist for a career-high five points in the game. He also had a groundball.

  • Edward Rosaschi scored three goals for his team and had a game-high six groundballs. 

  • Joseph Fontanella caused a team-high two turnovers. 

  • Ryan Mead went 7-10 on faceoffs, scooped up two groundballs, and had a caused turnover.

  • Brody Guido had a pair of points on a goal and an assist. 

  • Matthew Johnson was credited with the win in goal. He made five saves on nine shots faced. 

  • Michael Baker had a pair of points on a goal and an assist.

  • Jack Raymond and Daniel Flynn each had a pair of goals for Hilbert. Raymond also had an assist. 

  • Griffin Miller made 19 saves in goal on 30 shots faced for the Hawks. 

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will travel to Maine Maritime on Friday, April 22nd. The game, a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game, is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start.
