Miccio’s coaching journey began at Mercyhurst North East University, where he restarted the NJCAA Region III program. In just two years, he led the Saints to a Region III postseason appearance. Miccio developed seven All-Conference selections, three All-Region III selections, and two NJCAA All-Academic selections. In 2018, the Saints made significant progress, advancing to the playoffs, and Miccio was named Region III Coach of the Year and voted National Coach of the Year by his peers.

Miccio’s first coaching role was as the Defensive and Recruiting Coordinator for the Oswego Lakers men’s lacrosse team in 2012. He also served as Interim Head Coach at Oswego at the start of the 2014 season.

With over a decade of playing and coaching experience, Miccio brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. As a high school player at West Genesee (NY), he helped lead his team to a Class A State Championship in 2008. Miccio then played for the Onondaga Community College Lazers, winning back-to-back NJCAA National Championships in 2009 and 2010. He was a team captain and a two-time NJCAA Academic All-American. Miccio continued his playing career at NCAA Division III SUNY Oswego, where he was named team captain in 2012 and earned All-Conference honors.
