The 2025–26 season marks the third year for Jesse O’Dell as an assistant coach with the SUNY Poly men’s basketball program. A 2023 graduate of SUNY Poly with a degree in Civil Engineering, O’Dell brings a strong work ethic and a deep understanding of the Wildcats’ program to the coaching staff.

As a player, O’Dell was a key contributor throughout his four-year career, appearing in 108 games and making 95 starts — tied for second most in program history. He ranks sixth all-time in scoring with 1,197 points, fourth in both rebounds (616) and blocked shots (103), and eighth in field goal percentage at 53.6%.

Off the court, O’Dell works as a Project Engineer for Atlantic Testing Laboratories.
