UTICA, N.Y. – SUNY Poly senior forward Anthony Rose has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region First Team, the organization announced Monday, recognizing him as one of the top performers in the region following an outstanding 2025–26 season.
The honor adds to an already impressive list of accolades for Rose this year. The senior was previously named Empire 8 Player of the Year and earned First-Team All-Conference recognition after leading the Wildcats to an 18–8 overall record while emerging as one of the conference's most impactful players on both ends of the floor.
Rose started all 26 games for SUNY Poly and played a central role in the team's success throughout the season. He averaged 19.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest while logging more than 32 minutes per game, finishing the year with 501 total points. His scoring average ranked among the top marks in the Empire 8 and helped drive a Wildcats offense that consistently relied on his ability to create scoring opportunities.
Efficiency was also a hallmark of Rose's game. He shot 47.9 percent from the field and knocked down 33 three-pointers while converting 85 percent of his free-throw attempts. His reliability at the line proved especially valuable in close games, where he frequently capitalized on opportunities to extend SUNY Poly's lead.
Beyond his scoring, Rose's all-around game made him one of the most versatile players in the conference. Over the course of the season he totaled 135 rebounds, 50 assists, 37 steals, and 20 blocks, impacting games in a variety of ways while often drawing the defensive attention of opposing teams.
One of his most memorable performances came in SUNY Poly's regular-season finale against cross-town rival Utica University. Rose erupted for 31 points in a pivotal victory that secured home-court advantage for the Wildcats in the opening round of the Empire 8 playoffs.
In addition to his All-Region recognition, Rose was selected to compete in the NABC Division III All-Star Game, becoming the first SUNY Poly player to receive that honor since 2011.
Over the course of his collegiate career, Rose compiled 1,498 points and 526 rebounds while shooting 49 percent from the field and 37 percent from beyond the arc. He finishes his career ranked fourth on SUNY Poly's all-time scoring list and is one of only 11 players in program history to surpass the 1,000-point mark.
