Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team was defeated by the Bard College Raptors in straight sets (25-18, 25-12, 25-18). Coral Cook led the Raptors with 11 kills, while Kaylee DeGroat paced the Wildcats with eight kills. Grace Southwick contributed a team-high 17 assists. With this loss, the Wildcats' record stands at 1-8 for the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Raptors showcased strong performances from Coral Cook and Becca Wintjen, executing their game plan effectively, while the Wildcats struggled to find their rhythm. Cook's 11 kills, along with Wintjen's 22 assists, propelled Bard to a dominant victory, finishing with a .247 hitting percentage.
Despite their efforts, the Wildcats were unable to gain momentum at any point in the match, resulting in their eighth loss of the season.
