Box Score Utica, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team remains unbeaten, after securing their third win of the season against the SUNY Canton Kangaroos by a score of 6-1. The Wildcats outshot the Kangaroos 31-8, with four different Wildcats scoring. Jhonny Theze and Thomas Nimineh led the charge with two goals each.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Wildcats jumped on the Kangaroos early, scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the match. Johnny Theze kicked off the scoring following a perfect pass from Thomas Nimineh. Payton Bennett would tally the second goal. The Wildcats put up eight more shots in the half, but the score would remain 2-0 through halftime.
SUNY Canton drew within one early in the second half as Kangaroo Owen Lebron would strike at the 55th minute. That was as close as SUNY Canton would get, as the Wildcats would close out the game by registering four goals on 21 shots for a 6-1 victory. Thomas Nimineh, Johnny Theze and Edgar Gomez would be the second half goal scorers for the Wildcats. The Wildcats are now 3-0 on the season.
