Box Score Utica, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team fell to 2-17 on the season after losing in straight sets to St. John Fisher. The Cardinals showcased their offensive strength with 42 kills, compared to the Wildcats' 14. The Wildcats will now prepare for an upcoming road match against Elmira.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
In the first set, the Cardinals, led by Kaylene Noble, quickly established dominance, building a lead of 16 points. The Wildcats struggled to shift the momentum and lost the set 25-6.
The Wildcats started the second set strong, staying within four points initially. However, the Cardinals responded with a seven-point run, extending their lead to 11. Despite a few late points from the Wildcats, the Cardinals secured the set 25-9.
The third set proved to be the most competitive, as the Wildcats minimized errors and capitalized on opportunities. Strong performances from Daniella Aluisio, Brooke Durfee, and Kassity Cruz kept the Wildcats in contention. However, timely kills from the Cardinals ultimately sealed the match with a 3-0 victory.
