Utica, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men's soccer team faced the Utica Pioneers in a hard-fought match that ended in a 0-0 draw. Goalkeepers Ryan Primus and Foti Xidias were standout performers, each making six saves. The Wildcats now stand at 6-2-1 for the season, with a conference record of 1-1-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Wildcats had a strong start, recording five shots in the first half. Despite the Pioneers creating scoring opportunities, Primus's stellar play kept the game scoreless at halftime.
In the second half, both teams ramped up their offensive efforts. The Wildcats fired off seven shots while the Pioneers managed four. Seven different Wildcats contributed to the shot count, with Abus Mohamed Ali leading the way with four attempts. Both goalkeepers remained composed, making critical saves to maintain the deadlock.
