Geneseo, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team suffered a three-set defeat to the SUNY Geneseo Knights (25-6, 25-7, 25-18). Struggling to find their rhythm, the Wildcats were overpowered by the Knights, who recorded multiple kills and aces throughout the match. With this loss, the Wildcats' season record now stands at 1-14.

MATCH RECAP:
Geneseo seized control from the outset, capitalizing on several serving runs and accumulating numerous aces. Maddy Baumann led the Knights with four kills, propelling them to a dominant 25-6 victory in the first set.

The Knights maintained their momentum into the second set, establishing an early lead bolstered by strong service aces from Madison Gamberg. They secured the set with a decisive score of 25-7.

In the final set, the Wildcats displayed resilience, keeping the score competitive for much of the frame. However, the Knights pulled away late, orchestrating a six-point run that featured five powerful kills. SUNY Geneseo ultimately closed out the match with a 25-18 win in the final set.
