WSOC: Wildcats Celebrate Sarah George and Chloe Smith on Senior Day.

Box Score

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team celebrated senior day on Saturday in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game against the SUNY Delhi Broncos. The Wildcats honored their two outstanding seniors Sarah George and Chloe Smith before the game with a short ceremony prior to the game. The Wildcats lost 6-1 to the Broncos in the game. They are now 4-9 this season with a 2-5 NAC record.

WILDCAT GOALS:

The Wildcats scored one goal in the game. The goal was scored by Kate Donnelly in the 41st minute off an assist by Sarah George. The goal started with a pass into the box from midfield by Montana Wolf. The pass found Sarah George in the middle with a defender draped all over her. George had a great first touch to control the ball, avoid the defender who was marking her and made a great pass with her right knee to Kate Donnelly who was open on the left side. Donnelly hit a hard low shot that hit the goalkeeper and trickled in for the score.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Kate Donnelly scored her third career goal in the 41st minute of the game. She has six points this season.

  • Sarah George tallied her 10th point of the season with an assist.

  • Michalyn Fagan made nine saves for the Wildcats. She was on the losing end of the goalkeeper decision.
