Box Score

MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly Women's Lacrosse Team (4-4, 2-2 NEAC) evened its conference record on Friday evening, cruising to a 23-7 win over the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College (2-8, 1-5 NEAC).

The Chargers started off strong, taking a 3-2 lead on a pair of goals by Alyssa Wesner and one by Myranda Kemrer. The Wildcats took over from there, however, closing the half on an 11 to 2 run to take a commanding 13-5 lead.

Mari Ames (West Carthage, N.Y. / Carthage) had one of her best games to date with a 5 goal performance to lead the home team. She also doled out an assist and had a game-high 7 groundballs.

Some different faces got in on the scoring action for the Wildcats. Hope Cerasuolo (Johnstown, N.Y. / Johnstown) scored four goals, as did Corrina Marconi (Rochester, N.Y. / Gates-Chili) and Meghan Serota (Black River, N.Y. /Carthage).

Serota had an outstanding day, tallying a game-high 3 assists as well. The junior made a number of nifty passes to set up teammates for easy scores.

The Wildcats will hit the road tomorrow for another NEAC contest with The College of St. Elizabeth. Game time is slated for 1:00 pm.
