CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Red Dragons of Cortland (3-1) used a barrage of three-pointers to down the Wildcats (1-2) Thursday night, 89-46.

The home team got up early, shooting 9 of 21 from long range in the first half en route to a 50-22 halftime advantage.

Tierney McGlynn (Watervliet, N.Y. / Watervliet) led the Wildcats with 8 points on 2-of-5 from 3-pt range, while Lauren Knowles (Salisbury Mills, N.Y. / Washingtonville) added 7 points in 21 minutes of play.

On the other side of the ball, the Red Dragons were led by junior Phoebe Byrnes, who scored 15 of her game-high 17 points in the first half and finished 7 of 14 for the game.

The Wildcats will continue their 6-game road swing with a Monday night matchup at SUNY Cobleskill. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm.
