Steven Campanaro

Steven Campanaro brings over three decades of elite golf industry experience and leadership to his role as Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. A Certified PGA Professional and the 2020 Central New York PGA Golf Professional of the Year, Campanaro is recognized for his deep commitment to player development, tournament operations, and program growth at both the collegiate and club levels.

Before entering collegiate coaching, Campanaro served as PGA Head Golf Professional at Teugega Country Club, where he transformed the golf program by increasing tournament participation by 55% and expanding both women’s and junior programs by over 30%. He also implemented the cutting-edge Operation 36 (OP36) platform, mentoring over 65 junior golfers annually and building a model instructional program that emphasizes fundamentals, progression, and course strategy.

Campanaro’s extensive operational background includes high-level leadership roles at Turning Stone Resort, where he managed four premier golf facilities and played a key role in hosting professional events such as the PGA Tour’s Turning Stone Resort Championship and Notah Begay III Foundation events. 

Throughout his career, Campanaro has consistently demonstrated a passion for teaching and mentorship. He is a certified OP36 Instructor, a skilled communicator, and a dynamic coach who prioritizes student-athlete growth on and off the course. His leadership style is rooted in integrity, attention to detail, and a belief in continuous development—values that align with the academic and athletic missions of collegiate golf programs.
