COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s cross country team finished fifth in the North Eastern Athletic Conference’s 2019 Championship Race. The race was hosted by SUNY Cobleskill who ultimately captured first place in the race, earning the NEAC Championship Trophy. The Wildcats had a solid showing in the race, leading to two Wildcats being named to All-Conference Teams.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s and women’s cross country team hosted the 7th annual SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational on Saturday, September 21st. Nine teams competed in the race with 128 runners, including a large group of SUNY Poly Alumni, competing in either the 6K women’s or 8K men’s races.

CLINTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women’s cross country team placed fifth on Saturday in the Hamilton College Invitational. The ‘Cats were led by freshman runner Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) who ran the 6K in 20:52.8. The Wildcats had a team score of 168 and had four runners finish the race in under 25 minutes.
GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women’s Cross Country team came in 14th overall with a score of 424 points at the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 29th. SUNY Poly freshmen Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) finished first for the Wildcats in 44th with a time of 24:28.7.

A dry course and mild temperatures led to perfect running conditions for the 12th instalment of the Short Course Invitational, leading to a new course record being set by one runner.

The Wildcats will take part in nine races this season, two at home and seven on the road. The men's team, with a strong returning core, will be defending their record breaking fifth consecutive championship. The women's team will look to build onto a very successful 2017 campaign that saw them place fourth at the NEAC Championship last season.

The Wildcat’s top five runners placed 10th, 13th, 15th, 18th, and 49th. The Wildcats had four runners make the NEAC’s three All-Conference Team, the most in the history of the program.

The Wildcats fared very well on their home course. The men's team took home 4th place with 117 points. The women placed 7th out of 11 teams with 197 points.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2016-17 Scholar-Athlete selections. This year marks the third consecutive record-breaking year for the NEAC Scholar-Athlete Awards. A staggering 806 student-athletes in the NEAC were named scholar-athletes, surpassing last year’s mark of 787 by 19.
LANCASTER, Pa. – The SUNY Poly women’s cross country team finished seventh out of 11 teams in the 2016 NEAC Championship Race with 173 points. Of the 92 competitors in the race the Wildcats placed all five of their runners in the top 50 with their highest finisher placing 16th.
Lancaster, P.A. – The SUNY Poly men's and women's cross country team traveled to Pennsylvania to participate in the 8K/6K Charger Invitational hosted by fellow NEAC school Lancaster Bible College on Saturday. The race featured 149 student-athletes representing eleven schools. Highlighting the teams' strong finishes were senior Joseph Acey and junior Rebecca LaPorte. The men finished with 65 points and had seven runners finish in the top 20. The women finished in 76 points and had four runners in the top 15.
MARCY, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly cross country program hosted its annual Wildcat Classic Invitational 8K/6K race on Saturday. 16 teams were in attendance for the race which featured nearly 200 student-athletes competing on the beautiful SUNY Poly Cross Country Course. The Wildcats fared very well on their home course. The men's team won the race with 46 points and had the top finisher. The women placed 6th out of 16 teams with 141 points and had two runners in the top 25.
JOHNSON, V.T. - The SUNY Poly men's and women's cross country team traveled north to compete in the Johnson St. Invitational on Saturday. The teams both placed well in the meet. The men finished third with 91 points in the 8K, just one point behind the second place Maine-Farmington team. The women finished sixth in the 6k with 157 points.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly women’s cross country team placed ninth this Saturday at the 2016 Steven A. Warde Invitational hosted by SUNY Cobleskill. The Wildcats scored a total of 214 points in the race.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats have been voted 10th in the annual North Eastern Athletic Conference's (NEAC) Women’s Cross Country Preseason Poll. The Wildcats earned 36 points in the poll. The #1 team in the conference SUNY Cobleskill earned 118 points and nine out of 12 first place votes.
GENESEE FALLS, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 2015 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday hosted by SUNY Geneseo. The men's team placed 28th overall placing four runners in the top 200, and the women did not have enough runners to compete at the team level but had three runners compete individually.
MARCY, N.Y. - The men’s and women’s cross country teams hosted their second SUNY Poly Invitational of the season on Saturday, this time for the long course. The men competed in an 8K and the women competed in a 5K. The men’s team placed 2nd behind SUNY ESF and the women did not place due to a shortage of runners. Both teams boasted some great individual times, and the men’s course record was broken by a local runner from MVCC.
Marcy, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s and women’s cross country teams hosted 9th Annual SUNY Poly Invitational Short Course meet this past weekend. 13 men’s teams and 11 women’s teams came out to compete on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in upstate New York. The Wildcat men had a good showing finishing fourth overall with a total of 135 points and the women finished 11th with 323 points.
