WCC: Wildcats Take Fourth at Charger Invitational

LANCASTER, P.A. - The SUNY Poly Women's Cross Country team came in fourth place overall with a score of 109 points at the Charger Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15. The Wildcat's Freshmen Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) scored the highest for the team taking fourth place with a time of 20:39.23.


  • Three wildcats finished in the top 15. Freshman, Lauren Phetteplace (Cortland, N.Y.) finished 10th with a time of 28:21.1; senior, Jalize Mejia-Perez (Bronx, N.Y.) finished 13th with a time of 29:04.3, and Freshman Molly Burdick (Johnson City, N.Y.) rounded out the 15th spot with a time of 29:52.2.

  • McDaniel won the invitational with a score of 69, beating every team by at least 22 points. Their runners finished 2nd, 6th, and 12th.

SUNY Poly will host the Wildcat Classic next Saturday, Sept, 22. The women's race is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM and the men's race is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
