MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team improved to 4-0-1 in NEAC Play with two North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) wins this weekend over St. Elizabeth (0-9-1, 0-4 NEAC) and Gallaudet (6-4, 2-3 NEAC). The Wildcats win over St. Elizabeth was a 10-1 blowout. The Gallaudet game was a 3-1 win for SUNY Poly.
On Saturday the Wildcat offense exploded for 10 goals on 35 shots. Ashley O'Connor (Remsen, N.Y.) set the tone for the Wildcats with six points on three goals. Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y.) also had six points on two goals and two assists. O'Connor's goals brought her season point total to 13 while Stedman's scoring brought her to 17 points on the season.

Angelica Villatoro scored St. Elizabeth's lone goal in the game.
Angela Bartlett (West Winfield, N.Y.) was credited with the win for the Wildcats in goal. Marie Goodman made seven saves for the Eagles but was credited for the loss.
The Wildcats winning ways were continued on Sunday against Gallaudet. Despite a strong defensive unit for Gallaudet, the Wildcats were able to strike for three goals to earn the win.
Gallaudet scored first in the game on a rebound play that was driven home by Brittany Mallach. The goal was her NEAC leading 15th of the season.
Meral Evke gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead just four minutes later when she recovered a blocked shot and rolled a goal into an empty net in the 22nd minute.
Waterbury would facilitate one more goal in the game. Waterbury hooked up with Alicia Wittmann for a beautiful one-timer off a great corner kick. The goal was Wittman's fifth of the season.
With the win on Sunday, SUNY Poly Goalkeeper Angela Bartlett became the first Wildcat in school history to reach 40 career wins in goal. Bartlett already held the wins record prior to reaching 40, but the senior is not done setting the bar for future Wildcats just yet.
