WBB: Wildcats to Play Tufts in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats are heading to the NCAA Championship Tournament for the fourth time in five seasons after earning the North Eastern Athletic Conference's auto-qualifying bid. The NEAC Champion Wildcats found out on Monday that they had been matched up with the #1 Nationally Ranked Tufts University Jumbos. The matchup with the Jumbos will be the Wildcats second of the 2019-20 season.

The Wildcats will play Tufts at Western New England's Alumni Healthful Living Center in Springfield Massachusetts. The game time will be announced later this week.

In the bracket with the Wildcats are the aforementioned Tufts Jumbos (26-1), the host Western New England (21-5), and SUNY Cortland (21-6).

The Tufts women are technically the #1 team in the bracket, earning the right to host the first and second-round games. However, the Tufts men's basketball team also earned the right to host the first and second rounds in their respective tournament. NCAA rules do not allow for one institution to host the same round in men's and women's basketball. This season, it is the men's turn in the rotation, therefore, the games will be hosted by Western New England.

All of the NCAA Tournament games leading up to the national semifinals will be played on the campuses of competing "host" institutions. The Final Four and National Championship games will be played at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio on March 20-21.
