CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Wildcats of SUNY Poly (5-3) suffered a tough loss to non-conference opponent SUNY Cortland (5-4). The Wildcats started slow, but saw an aggressive turnaround the second half. The final score was 69-50.
Senior forward Khristaijah Jackson (Levittown, Pa.) had 16 points. She dominated the paint for the Wildcats going 7-11 from the field. Jackson also had a team high of 6 rebounds for the Wildcats.
Sophomore guard Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) had 16 points for the Wildcats. She knocked down a team high three shots from three point range.
Sophomore point guard Taylor Aybar (Woodside, N.Y.) scored 8 points and had a team high four assists.
Shana Crespo led the Red Dragons with a game high 17 points, a game high eight rebounds, and a game high five steals. Kerry McHugh 13 points, two assists, and a steal.
The Wildcats head west to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Las Vegas Hoopla Tournament. They will face Concordia University of Wisconsin and the Hastings Broncos from Nebraska. Tournament information can be found
