MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win of the season on Sunday over Wilson College 3-0. The Wildcats Dominated the match, hitting .412 as a team. The set scores of the match were 25-17, 25-14, 25-7. The Wildcats improved their season record to 5-9 with a 1-3 record in NEAC play.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team hosted Lancaster Bible and Medaille College on Saturday in the Wildcats first tri-match at home of the 2020 season. The Wildcats took on Lancaster Bible in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match in the 12:00 PM match and took on Medaille in a non-conference match at 4:00. The Wildcats lost both matches, the first 0-3 to the Chargers and the second 2-3 to the Mavericks. The Wildcats record for the season now sits at 4-9.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team lost their match Saturday against Keuka College in four sets. The Wildcats took the first set 25-23. Poly went on to drop set two, three, and four with scores of 20-25, 21-25, and 21-25 to lose the match 3-1. The Wildcats struggled on the attack hitting just .089 as a team. Keuka hit .255 as a team in the match. The Wildcats are now 3-6 this season.
ALBANY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball lost their match on Wednesday in five sets to the Sage College Gators. The Wildcats lost the first set 22-25 before taking a 2-1 advantage by winning the second set 26-24 and the third set 25-18. The fourth set was tightly contested with the Gators winning the set 25-23 to force a deciding fifth set. With the match tied at 11, a 4-0 run by the Gators sealed the Wildcats fate giving Sage their first win of the season. The Wildcats are now 3-5 this season.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team went 1-2 in three matches this past weekend with a win over Lasell and losses to Springfield and Elms. The Wildcats played Elms on Friday, losing in three sets. The team traveled to Springfield on Saturday and lost to the tri-match host Springfield after taking the first set from the Pride. The ‘Cats wrapped up the weekend with a four-set win over Lasell 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-22. The Wildcats are now 3-4 this season.
LANCASTER PA. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball season ended on Saturday in the NEAC Championship Semi-final game against Wells. The Wildcats lost the game 3-0 to Wells in the game 15-25, 20-25, 25-27. The Wildcats 2019 season was one that will be remembered for the record-breaking performances and impressive milestones that were reached.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference has announced the 2019 NEAC All-Conference Teams and Individual Award Winners for men’s volleyball. The SUNY Poly Wildcats had an Individual Award Winner and Four NEAC All-Conference selections. Brian Malsan (Slingerlands, N.Y.) was named the NEAC Defensive Player of the Year and was All-Conference First Team. Piotr Kasza (Queens, N.Y.) was also voted NEAC All-Conference First Team. Max Szuba (Irondequoit, N.Y.) and Donovan Suguitan (Clifton Park, N.Y.) were both named to the NEAC All-Conference Second Team.
AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team lost to Wells College on Saturday in straight sets 25-11, 25-19, 25-13. The Wildcats did not hit well in the game hitting just .139 as a team while Wells College was efficient, hitting .538 to earn the win. The game had some seating implications for the North Eastern Athletic Conference postseason, but the Wildcats and Wells Express were destined to meet in the first round of the playoffs regardless. With the loss, the Wildcats are the three seed while Wells earns the two seed. The NEAC postseason will be hosted by Lancaster Bible starting on Saturday, April 13th.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - SUNY poly men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 win on the road at Keuka College in North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Friday. The Wildcats took the first set 26-24, the second set 25-22, and the third set 25-21. The Wildcats hit .316 as a team in the match while Keuka hit just .179. The win in NEAC play brings the Wildcats record to 16-11 this season with a 7-2 conference record.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team took down Wilson College on Sunday 3-0 on senior day. The Wildcats hit .337 as a team in the match, had seven service aces, and 11 total blocks. Before the match the four seniors from this year's team were honored in a short ceremony. The seniors; Brian Malsan (Slingerlands, N.Y.), Max Szuba (Irondequoit, N.Y.), Ryan Gloff (Brockport, N.Y.), and Piotr Kasza (Queens, N.Y.) all had fantastic showings in their last match at SUNY Poly’s Wildcat Field House.The final set scores for the match were 25-19, 25-22, 25-9. The Wildcats are now 15-11 this season and are 6-2 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's volleyball team lost to Lancaster Bible on Saturday in a closely-contested four set match. Both teams played outstanding volleyball with Lancaster Bible earning the win in a thrilling 33-31 fourth set. The final set scores were 25-19, 25-12, 23-25, 33-31. The Lancaster Bible Chargers came into the game ranked ninth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-25 Poll. The Wildcats are now 14-11 this season with a 5-2 NEAC record.
RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team split a pair of matches at Mt. St. Vincent on Sunday, losing to Wentworth in three sets and beating the host Mt. St. Vincent in three sets. The Wildcats played three tight sets with the Wentworth Leopards losing all three 22-25. The second match was a dominant win over the Mt. St. Vincent Dolphins 25-11, 25-10, 25-18.

Wildcat libero Brian Malsan (Slingerlands, N.Y.) had a career milestone in the match becoming the all-time leader in career digs at SUNY Poly. The Wildcats had a fantastic day on the attack. Three players had 10 kills and all hit over .200.

They have hit over .300 as a team in two straight matches. SUNY Poly’s Max Szuba (Irondequoit, N.Y.) hit a career milestone in the match, surpassing 1000 kills.

The Wildcats hosted seven teams for a total of 14 matches over a two day period. The Wildcats went 2-2 in their four matches, including two wins on day two against D’Youville and Thiel.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has released the 2019 schedule for the Wildcat men’s volleyball team. This year’s schedule features 28 games; 11 at home and 17 on the road. The Wildcats open play at home with their annual Wildcat Invitational on the 25th and 26th of January. The Wildcats will play Elms and Geneva on Friday, January 25th at 4:00PM and 8:00PM and will play D’Youville and Theil at 3:00 and 5:00 PM on Saturday January 26th.
LANCASTER, PA. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team traveled to Lancaster, Pennsylvania this weekend to take part in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Final Four, hosted by Lancaster Bible. The #3 seeded Wildcats were matched up with the #2 seeded Wells Express in the Semifinal game on Saturday. Unfortunately, the game did not go as planned for the Wildcats who fell to the Express 3-1.
GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2018 Men’s Volleyball All-Conference selections, honoring the top 21 players in the league regardless of position. The First, Second, and Third Team are each comprised of seven players as selected by the conference coaches. The conference has also revealed its men’s volleyball individual award winners, which are determined by the coaches’ votes. MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team (5-10, 0-1 NEAC) was beaten in five sets on Saturday by the Wells College Express (11-5, 1-0 NEAC). The Wildcats went down 0-2, but battled back in the third to earn a long fought 31-29 win in the third. The Wildcats would win the fourth set 25-22, but lost the deciding set 11-15. The game was the first conference matchup for both the Wildcats and Express.
NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team (5-9) lost to New Paltz (5-3) on Wednesday 0-3 on the road. Wildcat Zach Goggin (Feeding Hills, Mass.) reached an impressive milestone in the match, becoming the first setter in program history to surpass the 3,000 assist mark.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men’s volleyball team improved to 4-4 on the season with a 3-0 win over Southern Vermont on Tuesday 25-7, 25-9, 25-8. The Wildcats hit .600 as a team and had eight players hit over .500 in the match.
