MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team (3-6, 1-2 NEAC) lost to Keuka (3-5, 2-1 NEAC) on Saturday 2-1. The Wolves drew first blood, scoring in the 13th minute. The Wildcats answered right back, knotting the game at one just three minutes later. The difference-making goal for Keuka was scored in the 70th minute off a penalty kick.
The Wildcats lone goal in the game was scored by Benjamin Alonge (Elmont, N.Y.). Alonge gathered a deflected cross and made the most out of a fortunate bounce, beating the goalkeeper to tie the game. The goal was Alongs's third of the season.
The game winner for Keuka was scored by Sean Pasono in the 70th minute on a penalty kick that had just enough to pass the outstretched arms of Wildcat goalie Nathan Loughlin (Cohoes, N.Y.).
The Wildcats will host Union College on Tuesday in a non-conference mid-week game. The game is scheduled for 6:00 PM at SUNY Poly's Wildcat Field.
