KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats took on the Keuka College Wolves on Saturday in North Eastern Athletic Conference game at Keuka's Jepson CAC. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, the early Keuka lead was too much to overcome as the Wildcats fell just a goal short. The final score was 8-7.

The Wolves second quarter is what secured the win. Keuka put up six goals in the quarter, holding the Wildcats to just two to take a four goal lead into the locker room at half. The Wolves would add two more in the third, but the Wildcat defense held Keuka Scoreless in the fourth to give the team an opportunity for a comeback. Trailing by four, the Wildcats scored three unanswered goals in the fourth but could not net the game-tying goal.

  • Charles Rosaschi (Highland Mills, N.Y.) had a team high three goals in the game on six shots taken. His season total is now 33, which is second on the team.
  • Daniel Rivie (Ossining, N.Y.) scored two of the Wildcats goals in the game. He also had two caused turnovers and four ground balls.
  • Braxton Evans-Murphy (Auburn, N.Y.) had a team high four caused turnovers and two ground balls. He is second on the team with 11 caused turnovers this season.
  • Ryan Mead (Churchville, N.Y.) went nine for 17 at the faceoff X in the game. He also had a team high seven groundballs and scored a goal.
  • Jared Laird (Ontario, N.Y.) made 12 saves in the game on 20 shots faced. He is now 7-3 on the season.
  • Keuka's Kasey Olsen led the game with five points on three goals and two assists.
  • Ryan Mavretish made 11 saves in goal for Keuka to earn his fifth win of the season.
  • Kasey Gallina had two goals and an assist in the game.
  • Harold Pallone and Cody Nitzke each had four caused turnovers for the Wolves. Pallone had a team high seven groundballs and an assist. Nitzke had two groundballs.
