MARCY, N.Y. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2018 NABC Coaches' Division III All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III. SUNY Poly's Kevin Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named to the All-District East First Team after a phenomenal senior season in 2018.
Kevin Williams, was the North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection in 2018. He averaged a conference best 22.6 points per game, averaged a league best 9.6 rebounds per game, and shot 59.2 percent from the field which is the best among players who averaged 10 or more field goal attempts per game in the NEAC. Williams nearly had 1,000 points in his two years as a Wildcat, finishing his career with 964 points. His two-year rebounding total was 438.
Williams was in the top 50 nationally in four NCAA Division III statistical categories in 2018. He was 16th in free-throw attempts (203), 28th in double-doubles (12), 37th in field goals made (201), and 42nd in made free-throws (133). Williams was also 67th in points per game with 19.8.
Kevin Williams is the first Wildcat to be named to an NABC All-District team since Dave Golembiowski in 2011.
