GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced the 2017-18 NEAC Scholar Athlete selections. This year the NEAC named a record-breaking 890 student-athletes to the Scholar Athlete list, up from last year's 806. The Wildcats of SUNY Poly had a program high 74 Scholar-Athletes, finishing fourth highest amongst the 14 full-time and six associate NEAC member institutions. Keuka College had the highest number of Scholar-Athletes with 110.
All 12 of the Wildcat's sponsored sports were represented on the NEAC Scholar-Athlete list. SUNY Poly women's soccer led the way with 13 representatives. Women's lacrosse was a close second with 12 representatives followed by men's volleyball with nine, women's volleyball and softball with eight, and men's lacrosse with seven.
To be a NEAC Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have a combined GPA of 3.4 or better in the fall and spring semesters and must have been in good standing with his or her team at the conclusion of the spring semester.
